CORA Requests

Under the Colorado Open Records Act (C.R.S. § 24-72-201 et. seq.) (CORA), it is the public policy of the State of Colorado that all public records shall be open for inspection by any person at reasonable times, except as provided by law.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the CORA requests received by Metro Water Recovery are handled in a consistent manner regardless of the person or department responding to the request.

Metro will accept records requests made pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act that are made in writing, submitted through the CORA Request portal below. Records requests made via social media shall not be accepted. Metro Water Recovery will treat a records request that cites the federal Freedom of Information Act as though it were requested pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act. If you are unable to provide a request in writing due to a disability, please contact Metro Water Recovery’s Legal Department for assistance (303-286-3000).

Metro’s Records Management Administrator is the Custodian of Metro’s public records.
